Internal Oak Doors

Oak is the most specified internal door timber in the UK because the grain stays warm under both natural and artificial light and it takes a clear lacquer or an oil finish equally well. Leaves are supplied as engineered constructions with a real oak veneer over a stable core, which keeps a tall door flat far better than solid timber.

Choosing your oak door

Pick the finish first. Fully finished doors are pre-lacquered and ready to hang, while unfinished doors let you match an existing stain. Then choose the style: glazed for hallways and rooms that need borrowed light, unglazed for bedrooms and bathrooms, or cottage and shaker patterns for period and modern interiors.
