Composite External Doors

A composite door is built from several materials at once: a solid insulating core, a reinforced sub-frame and a moulded GRP skin. That combination is why it does not warp, swell or need repainting the way a timber external door does, and why it consistently outperforms uPVC on both security and thermal performance.

What to look for

Check the U-value against Approved Document L, confirm the lock is a multi-point mechanism, and note the handing and frame size before ordering. The GRP skin is coloured through, so a scratch does not show a different colour underneath.
