External / Composite Doors

External doors form part of the weather envelope of the building, so they are built to a different standard from an internal leaf: they have to deal with rain, wind and security as well as simply closing an opening.

The range splits into composite external doors, which use an insulated core behind a moulded skin, and glazed external doors where a vision panel is needed. Where the door sits within a wider opening, see doors with side lights. Frames are listed separately under external frames.

Side panels for external doors

When an opening is wider than a single leaf, side panels for external doors fill the gap with a sidelight in a matching finish rather than forcing you up to a non-standard door width.
