How this page works

The page is generated automatically from live pricing. A door appears here the moment it is reduced and drops off again when it returns to full price, so what you see is always the current clearance list rather than an out of date one. That also means the brands and categories on this page change from week to week. On any given day it may be entirely one manufacturer or spread across several, and it may be all internal doors or include external doors and wall panelling. It is worth checking back rather than assuming the mix is fixed.

Why doors end up in clearance

Usually one of four reasons, and none of them is a fault. A design is being discontinued or replaced by a newer version. A particular size has overstocked while the popular widths sold through. A finish has fallen out of favour even though the door itself is unchanged. Or a supplier has revised a range and the outgoing stock has to move. In every case the door is new, unused and carries the same specification and warranty as it did at full price.

What to check before ordering

Size first. Clearance pricing applies to remaining stock, so individual sizes and finishes can sell through at short notice, and the width you need may not be the one that is reduced. If the size you want is not showing here, the same door is very often still available at its standard price in its main range, so check internal doors and external doors before giving up on it.

Quantity second. If you are doing a whole floor, count the doors you need and confirm all of them are available in the sizes you need before ordering any. Half a set at clearance price and half at full price from a different batch is the situation to avoid, particularly with timber finishes where batches vary.

Specification third. If a fire rating is required, confirm it on the individual product page. Fire doors in clearance keep the FD30 or FD60 rating shown on their own page, but the rating only works as a complete assembly with the correct frame, intumescent seals and three fire rated hinges, and those parts are priced separately. What is not included in the price

A reduced door is still just a door. Each leaf needs hinges, a latch or lock and a handle set, and a new opening needs a lining and architrave as well. Those items are not discounted alongside the door, so budget for them separately. Work through door hardware, door hinges, door handles, internal frames and door architraves, and plan your doors lists the whole order in sequence.

Finishing a clearance door

Primed and unfinished doors in clearance need the same treatment as any other, which means sealing every face and all four edges before hanging. No. They are standard products at a reduced price, most often because a range or a size is being cleared.

Do they carry the same warranty?

There is no way to promise that. Clearance follows stock, so if the size and finish you need is here now it is worth taking.
