Internal Doors

Internal doors are the door leaves used between rooms inside a home. They are supplied as the leaf on its own, so an existing lining can be reused where it is sound; frames and linings are listed separately under internal frames.

The first decision is usually the finish. Fully finished internal doors arrive sealed and ready to hang, while unfinished internal doors still need oiling, waxing or lacquering after fitting and let you match an existing colour exactly. By material the main ranges are oak, white primed, walnut, grey, black, laminated and pine, and each is available as glazed or unglazed.

Pairs, side panels and wide openings

For an opening too wide for a single leaf, French doors are supplied as rebated internal pairs, and internal side panels add a matching sidelight alongside a single door. If you are forming a pair from two single doors, a pair maker covers the joint between them.
